We’re thrilled to announce that Karen Guile, a former foundation grants manager with over 20 years of experience working in philanthropic foundations, has officially transitioned to an employee of Value Stream Consulting after contracting with us for several months.
Karen spent over 18 years at the Health Forward Foundation, where she helped build and evolve their grantmaking processes and procedures, supported Board governance, and collaborated with foundation leadership and Programs, Grants, Finance, IT, and Evaluations departments. Before that, she worked at the Kauffman Foundation and was a Peace Corps Volunteer stationed in Senegal, West Africa. In her previous role at Health Forward, she managed a GMS migration to Salesforce/foundationConnect, and contracted with Value Stream to rescue an unsuccessful implementation by another vendor. She then managed the relationship with Value Stream as the foundation’s Salesforce partner for several years.
In her new role at VSC, Karen will leverage her extensive experience in philanthropic grantmaking foundations across internal and external stakeholders to provide process consulting. She will collaborate with clients to navigate their complex, multi-stakeholder processes and manage change to achieve operational efficiency. Additionally, Karen will develop client engagement strategies, coordinate and facilitate training and networking activities, and manage client relationships for Value Stream Consulting.
